It is such a worrying time, not only for me and my fellow wedding suppliers, but the whole world!
Doesn’t it feel like we are part of a movie??
This year was looking so exciting for me, and the wedding season was just getting started, and now it has come to a complete stand hill.
I feel for every bride that has had to either cancel, or postpone their wedding day, every wedding supplier that has no work for the foreseeable and like me, struggling to make ends meet, all due to this shocking virus, but we must try and stay positive. Hard times never last – that is what I keep telling myself.
I am using this time to learn, practice and progress as a bridal hairstylist. I am very lucky to have a daughter who is willing (almost) to let me try new techniques and styles on her hair, so I can keep progressing.
I recently joined the Kristina Gasperas Academy online course, after attending one of their bootcamps and Kasia Fortuna was inspiring. I am learning so much, so please be rest assured, I will come out of this on top, and when the wedding season is back in full force, I will be ready, waiting and better than ever.
I am doing my best to move any weddings that have needed to be postponed in the coming months to an alternative date, even if it ends up to be 2021 – with no extra charge – which means my income is a big fat ZERO, but I am doing this to make the process as easy and stress-free as I possibly can in what is the most horrendous time for us all. Unfortunately, there will be some dates I will be unable to do, due to having other commitments, which will mean the deposit is non-refundable, as of my terms and conditions, but I will do my absolute best to find you an alternative hairstylist who I have utmost trust in to deliver you the best service and hairstyle in my place.
My heart goes out to everyone is this difficult time, but please get the big positives out of it… time with the people you love the most.
I always moan that I don’t get enough time with my children, as they are normally at school, I am running my business and as I am recently divorced, I have to share my weekends – so I am certainly using this time to reconnect and enjoy every moment before we are back to reality and complaining about needing a break again! haha.
Stay safe everyone, and see you all very soon!
